Responsibilities
  • Identify new business opportunities and liaise with the Managing Director.
  • Regenerate existing and new business opportunities.
  • Monitor competitors' products and services.
  • Be responsible to the board for the sales performance of the business.
  • Ensure that the commercial functions operate to the company's core values.
  • Develop a sales team and its capabilities.
  • Commercially responsible for Supplier Strategy & Customer Strategy.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on new cost price rates.
  • Manage internal and external sales activities.
  • Work with the senior leadership team on budget development.
  • Communicate performance indicators to inform activity.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Responsible for compliance with HR and Health & Safety duties.
Requirements
  • Experience with growth generation in multiple business areas.
  • Ability to regenerate orders before contracts end.
  • Experience with driving sales and motivating a sales team.
  • Experience with measuring the success of sales teams and holding accountability.
  • Industry knowledge/experience is preferable.
