    Village of Play is a High Five Accredited, play\-based learning organization in Cochrane, Alberta. We help kids ages 6–17 build executive functioning skills like emotional regulation, working memory, and flexible thinking through fun, evidence\-based games and activities. Our approach is compassionate, inclusive, and rooted in the latest research.
    The Opportunity:
    We’re looking for energetic, empathetic coaches to lead small group classes and playful activities for kids 6–17\. You’ll create a safe, welcoming space where kids can grow, learn, and have fun while modeling the very executive functioning skills we teach.
    What You’ll Do:
    Facilitate engaging, play\-based classes and activities for children ages 6–17
    Use evidence\-based strategies to support skills like self\-control, organization, and goal persistence
    Adapt your approach to meet the needs of diverse learners and group dynamics
    Model strong executive functioning in your own work, planning, flexibility, reflection, and self\-regulation
    Guide group discussions and help kids connect classroom experiences to real life
    Maintain a positive, inclusive environment where every child feels seen and supported
    Communicate clearly with parents/caregivers about class updates and participant progress
    Follow all safety, cleaning, and behavioral protocols
    Who You Are:
    Experienced working with children in camps, classrooms, recreation, or coaching (ages 6–17\)
    Skilled at group facilitation and managing dynamic, energetic groups
    Personally organized, adaptable, and reflective, strong executive functioning is a must!
    Creative, playful, and patient in your approach to teaching and problem\-solving
    Committed to inclusion, positive behavior support, and ongoing learning
    Able to communicate clearly and compassionately with both kids and adults
    Comfortable with flexible, part\-time hours (2–4 shifts/week, mornings/evenings, approx. 3\-10 hours per week
    Must have current First Aid and Level C CPR certification
    Must have reliable transportation to and from work in Cochrane
    Able to provide (or willing to obtain) a clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check
    Bonus Points For:
    High Five certification, yoga instruction, or a background in education, recreation, or therapeutic support
    Knowledge of neurodiversity and inclusive practices
    Experience with mindfulness, movement, or social\-emotional learning
    Compensation \& Perks:
    $28–$35/hr (based on experience and credentials), with potential for up to $38/hr for highly specialized or returning coaches
