    Job Description
    This position is Responsible for marshalling and maintaining the resources required to produce high quality results in designated work sections. Provides operational oversight and personnel management directly supervising personnel working in the assigned sections of the laboratory. Serves as a member of the laboratory management team to provide consistent and efficient representation for the work groups.

We are vital members of the interdisciplinary teams that care for patients across the Valley Children’s Healthcare system. Our work includes services for patients in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings. As a VCH laboratorian, you will work in a special environment serving patients of all ages from the smallest infants to adults. Our pediatric testing offers unique experiences that include a focus on using specimens efficiently. Front line teams specialize in specimen collections, processing, histology, and support activities. Analytical teams staff a variety of sections that include core laboratory, microbiology, transfusion service, and point of care testing. A commitment to high quality and innovation drives our work. We are nationally accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the transfusion service is also accredited by AABB.   • EXPERIENCE:
    Minimum three (3\) years management or progressively responsible experience required
    Minimum one (1\) year process improvement experience preferred
