Responsibilities
- Conducting internal investigations with managers and employees regarding reports of misconduct
- Providing HR support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise
- Executing routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
- Creating and writing company policies under the direction of the Director of Employee Relations and Chief Human Resources Officer
- Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices
- Attending unemployment hearings via phone to represent the organization while providing evidence to support claims
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required
- 5 years of HR management preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws, regulations, and HR best practices
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn ADP Workforce Now HRIS
