Responsibilities

• Adhere to and promote safety protocols and procedures
• Implement proper handling and storage practices for hazardous materials
• Assist the safety committee in maintaining a safe and organized work environment
• Monitor stock availability and manage monthly invoicing
• Coordinate chemical waste disposal
• Accept supplier deliveries and process delivery orders
• Execute product and material handling and movement
• Organize received items within the storage locations
• Perform periodic cycle counts on goods
• Communicate and negotiate with vendors on issues

Requirements

• Possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Logistics/Warehousing/Chemistry/Engineering/science-related discipline
• 1-3 years prior experience in the educational/logistics/warehouse with a science background is preferred
• SAP System is an added advantage
• Ability to use data and apply robust analytics to analyze cost, impact, risk and benefits
• Knowledge of chemical safety regulations and best practices
• Effective negotiation and resourceful in finding competitive pricing for consumables/ chemicals/solvents for stakeholders
• Resourceful and independent
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Proactive and a positive attitude towards work tasks
• Conscientious team player
