Course Description:
EDEE 253\-002\. Kindergarten Classroom Pedagogy.
Elementary Education: An orientation to the Kindergarten curriculum. Integration of the school subject areas (language arts, second language, mathematics, social sciences, science, expressive arts, moral and religious education, and physical education) in a manner appropriate to the developmental level of the pre\-school child.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:
Education: MA in a relevant field (i.e. preschool/Kindergarten education)
Teaching degree or equivalent in Kindergarten education
PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset
Experience:
1\.Experience as a master teacher/ instructor in: Early childhood pedagogy \& developmentally appropriate practice
QEP 4\
Early literacy \& numeracy, and multi\-literacies for preschool aged children
Unit planning (UBD) for early childhood classrooms
2\.Experience as early childhood school administrator, and/or early childhood master teacher/instructor in the Quebec educational system.
3\.Familiarity with the professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation.
Other: Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level
Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion
Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences
Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset
Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools
Other Information: Commitment to working with a team of committed and engaged instructors.
Must be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting minimum of 2 weeks in advance of course start date.
