Course details: Asian Language \& Literature: This course explores the historical and aesthetic dimensions of Asian genre cinemas in a regional framework, in relation to varied social and cultural phenomena. Genres explored include the gangster film, martial arts action, horror, revenge, melodrama, period drama, and documentary.
Teaching Qualification Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: All But Dissertation (ABD), or equivalent, in Asian Studies.
Experience: Applicants should have substantial experience teaching as an instructor at the university level.
Position Summary:
A Course Lecturer assignment includes all or part of the following teaching activities:
a) preparation of the Course and Course plan;
b) delivery of the Course;
c) evaluation of students;
d) submitting to the University a report on student attendance and student grades;
e) supervision of Teaching Assistants or any other teaching support staff;
f) upon request, review of their students’ grades;
g) meeting with students, being available to answer questions and give advice concerning Course content and requirements;
Employees shall perform their duties in compliance with the Pedagogical Regulation and as specified in the administrative directives of the Hiring Unit. An Employee shall use appropriate pedagogical methods and material.
