We’re looking for a skilled, compassionate Community Events Coordinator \& Daycare Liaison to join our team and make a positive impact on children's lives.
Position Summary
We’re seeking an enthusiastic Community Events Coordinator \& Daycare Liaison to support our mission to help children achieve their highest potential. The Community Events Coordinator\& Daycare Liaison serves as a key member of the Early Intervention (EI) team by integrating three critical functions:
Plan, organize, and execute community events, informational fairs, and family\-centered activities to promote and raise awareness of Early Intervention services.
Track, complete, and document daycare liaison activities specifically the completion of Ages \& Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) and hearing screenings results.
Provide developmental services to children and families under the NMFIT Program (DS II role).
This role requires expertise in child development, strong communication and relationship\-building skills, and the ability to coordinate services across multiple environments to promote family\-centered, community\-based early intervention.
Work Requirements:
Community Event Coordination
Plan, organize, and execute community events, informational fairs, and family\-centered activities to promote and raise awareness of Early Intervention (EI) services.
Track community event attendance, participation, as well as participate in the event as a DI II
Identify trends and/or additional opportunities to support and grow community events in Dona Ana and Sierra Counties.
Daycare Liaison Responsibilities
Ensure all consents and required documentation are complete prior to scheduling of Ages \& Stages Questionnaire and hearing screenings.
Track, complete, and document liaison activities specifically results obtained on the ASQs and hearing screenings.
Enter data into the appropriate tracking systems in a timely manner.
Identify children who may need further evaluation based on screening results
Serve as a point of contact for daycare providers to coordinate and facilitate scheduling and completion of ASQs/hearing screenings.
Developmental Services \& Family Support
Provide direct developmental services to eligible children based on outcomes in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Conduct home and community visits to model strategies for families and caregivers to support developmental milestones.
Participate in screenings, assessments, and multidisciplinary evaluations.
Attend IFSP meetings, 6\-month reviews, and transdisciplinary team consultations (TTCM).
Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including daily notes, service logs, and progress updates.
Program \& Administrative Support
Maintain compliance with NM FIT and IDEA Part C requirements for service delivery, documentation, and confidentiality.
Assist in marketing and communication efforts, including social media content and outreach materials.
Provide input to leadership regarding program needs and opportunities for community collaboration.
Complete required certifications, training, and recertifications per NM FIT guidelines.
Perform all other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications \& Skills
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Social Work, Human Services, Child Development, Public Relations, or related field.
Eligible for or current New Mexico FIT Program Developmental Specialist certification (DS II level).
At least 1–2 years of experience in early childhood, early intervention, community outreach, or family services.
Knowledge of IDEA Part C and natural environment service delivery.
Strong organizational, event coordination, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; social media experience preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds (e.g., boxes, equipment) without assistance. Capability to stand and walk for extended periods, including moving around the workspace, performing tasks, and interacting with colleagues or customers. Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel to access various items, equipment, or workspaces as required. Aptitude to reach overhead, horizontally, and below waist level to retrieve and handle objects or materials. The capacity to perform physically demanding tasks continuously throughout the workday. Physical ability to move freely and quickly in various work environments, including navigating stairs, ramps, or uneven terrain if necessary. If the job involves driving, a valid driver's license and the ability to operate vehicles safely and responsibly may be required.
