- Position Summary: To provide effective, efficient, and appropriate mental health services to Diversity Family Health (DFH) patients to serve the communityβs healthcare needs.

Position Responsibilities:
1\. Interviews patients to obtain history, performs physical examinations, orders lab and other tests, prescribes medications and treatments.
2\. Provides psychiatric health services, education, counseling, and emotional support.
3\. Refers patients for inpatient care, as necessary. Issues medication prescriptions in accordance with treatment guidelines.
4\. Orders laboratory tests, interprets and explains the test results to patients.
5\. Provides patient education regarding medications, risks, benefits, and reasonable outcome expectations.
6\. Communicates with patients and engages in follow\-up, as necessary.
7\. Collaborates with therapists and psychiatrists as warranted as part of a team providing comprehensive mental health services.
8\. Assists in developing clinical practice guidelines.
9\. Participates in provider and care team meetings.
10\. Establishes positive relationships with local and regional mental health community and attends local society functions.
11\. Performs medical/mental health procedures according to scope of practice.
12\. Documents and codes all patient contact accurately and legibly in the medical record.
13\. Performs as an active member of the health care team.
14\. May be asked to perform other duties that align with DFHβs mission, including but not limited to participation on clinical committees, providing education, Quality Review and/or other activities.
Position Requirements:

1\. Ability to understand that safety is a condition of employment.
2\. Must be computer literate with ability to enter information in the DFH Electronica Health Record (HER) system and compile reports or data as requested.
3\. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Education and/or Experience:
Β· Master of Science in Nursing, with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis, from an accredited college or university.
Β· Certification: Must be certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certification body
Β· Licensure: Must be licensed to practice nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) without restrictions within the State of Oklahoma.
Special Requirements:
Must be willing to travel between DFH health centers. Must be willing to work evening hours and weekends if necessary.
Appearance Standards: This position shall follow the appearance standards as outlined in the DFH Personnel Appearance Policy.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The employee may experience exposure to dust, pollens, pollutants, fumes, and communicable diseases as related to the health care environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
