    Job Overview
    HHS Environmental Services is a provider to government contracts. We are seeking General Maintenance Workers. This position is essential for ensuring the functionality and safety of facilities. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including electrical work, plumbing, and general repairs. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem\-solving skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
    Duties
    Plumbing systems fixing plumbing leaks, replacing worn\-out parts, unclogging sinks/toilets, .
    Electrical systems Ensure functioning lights, switches, changing batteries in smoke detectors, tv remotes, and trouble shooting issues.
    Performing preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, appliances, and other mechanical components. This will consist of changing air filters, cleaning condensing unit coils etc..
    Handling basic carpentry like paint touch ups, assembling furniture, repairing doors, and installing fixtures.
    Ensuring workplace safety by checking fire alarms, emergency exits, fire extinguishers and other safety equipment.
    Assisting specialized technicians (subcontractors) in more complex repairs or installations by providing access and supervision.
    Grounds work as in weed eating, cutting trees, mowing, cleaning flower beds etc.. As needed.
    Skills
    Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
    GED or High School Graduate
    years’ experience doing general maintenance work in a commercial facility
    Experience working in an outdoor or indoor building environment
    Able to understand verbal or written direction from lead, supervisor or other craftsmen
    Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and customers.
    Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients and tenants.
    Work Environment
    Must be able to physically perform the above work with a ladder in tight spaces .Must be able to lift lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.
    Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable.
