We are on the hunt for a Developer Lead—a hands\-on full\-stack developer who is passionate about system health, reliability, and leading development efforts under the guidance of our CTO.
About the Role
About the Role
The Developer Lead will work directly with the CTO and will be responsible for overseeing the day\-to\-day development of Fract’s platform. You’ll lead a team of contract developers, ensure platform uptime and system reliability, and contribute code regularly. This is a hands\-on role for someone who loves building scalable, reliable systems and wants to grow into a senior leadership role in the future.
What You’ll Do
Work closely with the CTO to execute the product roadmap and lead technical development.
Serve as the primary point of contact for contracted developers—assigning tasks, reviewing code, and ensuring high\-quality deliverables.
Maintain system health, uptime, and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact customers.
Build and maintain frontend and backend features using our current stack (listed below).
Monitor and optimize application performance, database efficiency, and API integrations.
Implement and manage version control, code reviews, and deployment processes.
Ensure secure coding practices and data protection are followed at all times.
Continuously improve monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system reliability and scalability.
Collaborate with product and customer success teams to understand client feedback and prioritize fixes and features.
Document processes, workflows, and technical decisions to support scalability and onboarding of future team members.

What We’re Looking For
3\-5 years of full\-stack development experience, ideally with a focus on SaaS applications.
Strong hands\-on expertise in Node.js, Vue.js, and PostgreSQL (especially geospatial data).
Experience managing development teams or contractors in an agile environment.
Demonstrated ability to own system uptime and health, including monitoring and debugging live systems.
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud) and deploying applications in production environments.
Experience with geospatial APIs, data visualization, and mapping tools is a big plus.
