Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all aspects of freight forwarding operations, including bookings, pickups, and deliveries.
  • Prepare and review documentation required for customs clearance and international shipping.
  • Communicate with clients, carriers, and customs brokers regarding shipment status and any issues that may arise.
  • Monitor freight rates and negotiate with carriers to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to shipping and logistics.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and update tracking systems as necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving any issues related to their shipments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline logistics processes and improve overall efficiency.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, business, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management preferred.
  • Strong understanding of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and international trade.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English.
  • A second language in Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and freight management software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
