    We are looking for a highly motivated and independent individual with a strong passion for research to work on manufacturing technologies development, as well as process development and deployment, to shape the future of advanced manufacturing.


    Qualifications and experience


    Ph.D. in Material Science Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace.

    Strong understanding of material science and mechanical engineering, particularly in a manufacturing environment.

    Proven experience in metal forming research and development, including incremental forming of sheet and bulk metals, cold and hot forming, related forming operations, etc., in an academic and/or industrial setup.

    Proven track record in obtaining competitive research funding, as well as executing high\-level research activities related to large scale grants.

    Experienced in tooling design, metallurgical characterization of metallic materials, CAD modelling, and finite element modelling (FEM) for metal forming processes.


    Core skills


    Able to present high\-level technical and scientific information to audiences with various level of technical understanding.

    Capable of preparing high\-quality presentation materials with the research findings and deliver them through publications, technical reports and presentations. A strong track record of scientific publications in leading journals and conferences is expected.


    Soft skills


    Able to collaborate effectively with cross\-functional internal teams and external partners, and to engage various internal and external stakeholders.

    Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment while maintaining ownership and accountability for his/her area of expertise.

    Hands\-on approach with strong aptitude for troubleshooting processes, identifying root causes, and resolving fundamental technical issues.

    Able to influence, lead and inspire project members within and across teams, to foster collaboration and achieve project success.

    Demonstrates enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies, with a proactive approach to continuous development.
