Responsibilities
  • Oversee Disney Adventure vessel manning & rotations for Entertainment department officers and crew
  • Key point of contact to liaise with labor management on all Entertainment labor justification
  • Ensure a competent and qualified seagoing and shoreside workforce
  • Lead the Entertainment Crew, Officer, and Senior Officer Succession Planning Program
  • Maintain and develop the Entertainment officer appraisal process
  • Execute and refine the promotion and hiring assessment program for Entertainment officers
  • Partner with Creative Resources and Production on creative/technical/seasonal projects
  • Develop and manage the long-range professional training schedule for Entertainment officers
  • Manage all Entertainment department role adjustments and justifications of headcount
  • Oversee recruitment procedures and ensure proper execution for Entertainment officers
  • Aligning team goals with organizational purpose
Requirements

    About the Role
    The Entertainment Resource Manager is responsible for Entertainment Department manning/rotations, and the performance and development management of Entertainment officers and crew, both shoreside and shipboard.
    Responsibilities:
    Oversee Disney Adventurevessel manning \& rotations for Entertainment department officers and crew, including rank and ship assignment with labor management and input from department leaders.
    Key point of contact to liase with labor management on all Entertainment labor justification, movement and approvals.
    Ensure a competent and qualified seagoing and shoreside workforce, verifying all personnel possess proper licenses, training, and certifications.
    Lead the Entertainment Crew, Officer, and Senior Officer Succession Planning Program and performance review process.
    Maintain and develop the Entertainment officer appraisal process.
    Execute and refine the promotion and hiring assessment program for Entertainment officers.
    Partner with Creative Resources and Production on creative/technical/seasonal projects that require shoreside or shipboard resources.
    Develop and manage the long\-range professional training schedule for Entertainment officers.
    Provide onboard support and consistency through sailing assignments as needed.
    Maintain the DCL Talent Management system and Succession Plan Matrix.
    Create Individual Development Plans and Expectation Memos for Entertainment crew and officers.
    Manage all Entertainment department role adjustments and justifications of headcount for shipboard and shoreside
    Oversee recruitment procedures and ensure proper execution for Entertainment officers.
    Managing communication, issue escalation, and interdepartmental coordination.
    Aligning team goals with organizational purpose
    Basic Qualifications:
    5\+ years in entertainment management, cruise operations, or resource planning.
    Experience in cruise, theme park, or live entertainment environments.
    Strong strategic, technical, and interpersonal skills.
    Deep understanding of maritime industry and shipboard training systems.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    Ability to manage fleet training operations and develop short\-term strategies.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    In\-depth knowledge of ship operations and Entertainment department roles.
    Strong business acumen in cruise operations.
    Familiarity with Disney Cruise Line training systems and operations.
    Education:
    * Bachelor’s degree in Entertainment, Business Management, Leadership Development, or equivalent experience.
