Responsibilities
  • prepare purchase orders for approval
  • place and monitor purchase orders with vendor assignments
  • review and analyze inventory data and recommend ROPs
  • review assignment confirmations/invoices for accuracy in pricing and quantity
  • process invoices through accounting department
  • obtain and communicate assigned supplier pricing profiles and changes to management
  • process vendor releases, assign Forwarder and HTS number
  • enter and update ETA status of items on order
  • coordinate LCL and FCL shipments with supplier
  • verify and receipt inventory on shipment arrivals
  • handle and resolve vendor discrepancies with rejected materials
  • provide purchasing planning and control information
  • provide back-up in the processing of special-order quotations
  • maintain and execute assigned vendor back orders
Requirements
  • minimum 3 years of stone and tile industry experience required
  • minimum 5 years of domestic and international purchasing experience required
  • must be document efficient and organized
  • intermediate proficiency in windows-based applications
  • strong outlook experience needed
  • knowledge of incoterms and importation processes highly recommended
  • clear and concise written and oral communication skills in english
  • be able to lift and maneuver up to 25lbs of contained weight

    Summary
    Primary responsibility is to ensure timely, accurate and efficient placement, processing and receipting of purchase orders, quality control activities.
    The ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members, suppliers and upper management for project related purchasing inquiries, requests and provide timely and effective responses and resolutions.
    Attention to detail, tenacity, persistence, and ease in creating strong relationships is desired.
    Responsibilities:
    Prepare purchase orders for approval; place and monitor purchase orders with vendor assignments or/as directed.
     Review and analyze inventory data and recommend ROPs.
    Review assignment confirmations/invoices for accuracy in pricing and quantity, processing invoices through accounting department
     Obtain and communicate assigned supplier pricing profiles and changes to management.
    Process vendor releases, assign Forwarder and HTS number.
     Enter and update ETA status of items on order, notifying customer service of changes.
    Coordinate LCL an FCL shipments with supplier in preparation for Logistics Coordinator hand\-off
     Verify and receipt inventory on shipment arrivals.
    Handle and resolve vendor discrepancies with rejected materials (DR’s)
     Provide purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends as requested.
    Provide back\-up in the processing of special\-order quotations (RFQs) for material and air freight needs.
     Maintain and execute assigned vendor back orders.
    Qualifications
    Minimum 3 years of stone and tile industry experience required
     Minimum 5 years of domestic and international purchasing experience required
    AA/AS Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or related field preferred
     Must be document efficient and organized.
    Intermediate proficiency in Windows\-based applications; Strong Outlook experience needed.
     Experience with custom and/or standard business management software packages, NetSuite strongly preferred.
    Knowledge of Incoterms and importation processes highly recommended.
     Clear and concise written and oral communication skills in English.
    Be able to lift and maneuver up to 25lbs of contained weight.
