Responsibilities

We are seeking a compassionate and detail\-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will provide essential support to veterinarians and ensure the well\-being of our patients by performing a variety of technical tasks and animal care duties. Your role will involve assisting in examinations, administering medications, performing diagnostic tests, and ensuring that pets receive the highest quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
Collect samples for lab testing (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) and perform basic diagnostic tests (e.g., X\-rays).
Monitor the health and behavior of patients, recording observations and communicating any changes to the veterinarian.
Educate pet owners on preventive care, treatment plans, post\-surgical care, and medications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well\-stocked work environment, including cleaning and sterilizing equipment.
Assist with client communication, including scheduling follow\-up appointments and discussing treatment plans.
Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring minimal stress and discomfort during procedures.
Keep accurate records of patients' health history, treatments, and progress.
Adhere to clinic policies and procedures for the safety and well\-being of both animals and staff.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) or eligible to become certified.
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is preferred.
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, diseases, and basic veterinary procedures.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain medical information to pet owners in a clear, compassionate manner.
Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments.
Ability to work in a fast\-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Passion for animal care and dedication to ensuring the health and well\-being of all patients.
