    SHEA Business Partner
    Location \
  • • Home based but within commutable distance to either our Warrington or Head office (Stoke on Trent) the role will cover Nationally \- Typically 37\.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
  • The SHEA Business Partner will cover our Public Services and Commercial division, this includes refurbishment works in Health \& Education, Fast Track (hotel fit outs) and Major Projects and will need to work Nationally when supporting the team with occasional overnight stays

    With responsibility for developing a Trainee SHEA Advisors and proactive relationships with our operational teams, supply chain partners and clients to develop a strong safety and assurance culture which strives to deliver excellence to our customers.
    This is a hands on, people focused role, that will require you to work with a range of stakeholders. You will be onsite carrying our safety and assurance inspections on our maintenance and refurbishments projects, working with site teams and operational colleagues to deliver continuous improvement and working with our senior teams and the Head of SHEA to set the direction of our approach to Safety and Assurance across the business.

    An outline of your responsibility as an SHEA Business Partner
    Contribute to the delivering of the overall HSE strategy and deliver key projects .
    Work with the Head of SHEA and Head of Operations to develop regional SHEA plans linked to overall business and SHEA objectives.
    Implement SHEA Committee meetings within the business unit to discuss SHEA performance.
    Develop and implement SHEA management systems, including policies and procedures, ensuring they are up to date with legislation and best practice
    Responsible for overseeing all SHEA activity across the region, escalating non\-compliance where required.
    Deliver a minimum of 16 SHE inspections per month across the business.
    Liaises with QA team to ensure subcontractors are verified with internal PQQ process.
    Assist the Head of SHEA with accident / incident investigations providing action plans.
    Proactively Lead and deliver initiatives around improving our SHEA culture.
    In partnership with the regional management teams create and implement regional improvement plans focussing on E20 (H \& S System) data, developing training programmes to provide additional support to operations where necessary
    Ensure that SHEA inductions are completed for all new starters.
    Working collaboratively to ensure that mandatory training needs are met.
    Work in partnership with operational teams to create a positive and proactive safety culture along with delivering SHEA campaigns and promote best practice and innovation

    About You
    As a SHEA Business Partner you will hold relevant qualifications including NEBOSH (General Construction) IOSH Member (desirable), Asbestos Awareness, Scaffold Inspection. P405 and Environmental qualifications advantageous. Experience working with a partnered approach to Safety along with the ability to lead an ambitious team is essential to the role. Candidates should have strong IT skills with the ability to adapt to using new software. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail skills, and be a confident communicator with a self starter, conscientious approach focused on delivering it right, first time, for our customers. Experience in the refurbishment sector is essential to the role, as is a Full UK Driving Licence.
