Responsibilities
- Assist Veterinarians - prep patients for surgery, administer anesthesia, take x-rays, gather lab specimens, and monitor patients post-op
- Cross train for a Client Service Coordinator position
- Answer phone calls, check in clients, and book appointments
- Gather stool, blood and other samples for testing
- Test gathered samples and help interpret the results
- Administer medications and provide client instruction on animal care

CityVet is looking for Veterinary Technicians to join our team and cross train for a Client Service Coordinator position! A Veterinary Technician Assistant will be considered (with a minimum of 1\-year experience).
Compensation is based on experience and education.
Responsibilities
The Veterinary Technician (VT) is responsible for maintaining excellent patient care and operational productivity by helping the Veterinarian leverage their time and efforts to meet the needs of their clients and patients. The Veterinary Technician works to relieve the Veterinarian from technical work and administrative detail to achieve greater levels of efficiency in daily practice. Veterinary Technicians help facilitate and streamline communication from the operating room to the front office staff and most importantly, the client.
Essential qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
At least 18 years of age at the time of hire
At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience
Understanding and ability to properly, and safely, restrain animals
Knowledgeable on veterinary medical terminology and medication
Willingness to cross train in a Client Service Specialist (Receptionist) position
Lift 50 lbs to waist height
Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication \& listening skills
Self\-motivated \& team\-oriented
