Responsibilities

• Review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns for technical accuracy and completeness.
• Verify consistency between source documents, workpapers, and software output.
• Check M-1 adjustments, basis tracking, depreciation schedules, and allocations for accuracy.
• Confirm correct application of tax law, including federal and California regulations.
• Provide constructive feedback to preparers through clear notes and documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to maintaining firm review standards.
• Support final partner reviews by ensuring returns are 98% ready for sign-off.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of recent tax preparation and/or review experience in a public accounting firm.
• Strong familiarity with small business S-Corps, partnerships, and high-net-worth individual returns.
• Active CPA or EA license required.
