    DCI MENTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
    Academic Success Coaches (ASC) are student mentors and advocates. They model β€œsuccess attainment” by understanding the complex psychosocial influences that are positively and negatively impacting each student’s educational journey. They monitor and facilitate the day\-to\-day operations of wholistic student support and parental awareness. An Academic Success Coach must be able to:
    Manage the wholistic advocacy for a cohort of students per academic year.
    Serve as the initial and central point of contact for the student (and parent if applicable) to facilitate, as seamlessly as possible, a student’s educational journey.
    Create academic accounts within 48 hours of enrollment under the facilitation of the Lead
    Mentor.
    Document and maintain weekly interaction of each student in his/her cohort.
    Participate in status meetings with management to ensure ASC activities are aligned with DCI’s mission, vision and strategic direction.
    Multi\-task in a fast\-paced organizational culture.
    Be effective at self\-direction, as well as, within a team to accomplish set goals and performance expectations.
    Perform analytical, interpretive and/or constructive critical thinking in varied situations to execute tasks required for student success and operational expectations.
    Proficiently work with various computer applications and software to establish effective interaction with assigned students.
    Develop and submit multifaceted reports, accurately and timely, for the collection and analysis of
    β€œsnapshot” data to positively drive academic, administrative and management decision making.

A candidate must also possess a high order of analytical, interpretive, and/or constructive critical thinking in varied situations to execute tasks required for student success and operational expectations.
