Responsibilities
  • Administer medications to patients and ensure safety compliance
  • Count and maintain medication inventory
  • Assess patients at the dosing window for impairment
  • Conduct urine drug screens
  • Maintain all paperwork required for regulatory agencies
  • Conduct bottle recalls on patients with take-home medication
  • Supply and administer medicates
  • Record dosages in medical records

Requirements
  • Flexible schedule required with willingness to work early morning hours
  • Licensed nurse (RN or LVN) registered in Texas
  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
  • At least one year experience as a RN/LVN
  • Experience in addictions preferred but not necessary
  • Positive attitude and passion for supporting recovery
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
  • No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program
  • Valid driver's license

    Seeking a strong Dosing Nurse at our center located in Farmers Branch Texas. Our Dosing Nurses are responsible for assisting in all areas of patient care, including physicals, and necessary test in conjunction with State and Federal law. Assisting patients with the medical care required during treatment as directed by Medical Direct and, providing counseling activities and assisting in pharmacy operations. Must be able to discuss and/or counsel patients relating to their medication regiment.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties that are assigned:
    Administer medications to patients and ensure safety compliance
    Count and maintain medication inventory
    Assess patients at the dosing window for impairment
    Conduct urine drug screens
    Maintain all paperwork required for regulatory agencies
    Conduct bottle recalls on patients with take\-home medication
    Other duties as assigned
    Responsible for restoration of patient's health and collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide support to patients
    Job Duties: (include but are not limited to):
    Supply and administer medicate
    Record dosages in medical records
    Daily inventory count of medication supply and receiving incoming shipments
    Responsible for safeguarding medication inventory
    Collect fees and perform daily cash reconciliation in absence of the cashier personnel
    Observe / monitor patient demeanor
    Communicate patient concerns to superior
    Comply with federal and state privacy rules, including 42 CFR Parts 160, 164 as well as applicable clinic policies and procedures
    Contact other centers to verify dosages as needed
    Administer appropriate lab tests, collect data and report per process
    Schedule and screen patient to be seen by Medical Director
    Receive and document medical orders
    Actively participate in JACCO preparation and start audit process
    Always act in the best interest of patient, program and company
    Honor, support and protect the proprietary right of patients and company
    Interface with public and patients by answering phones, greeting visitors, and monitoring patient activities while on center premises
    REQUIREMENTS
    Qualifications include:
    Flexible schedule required and willingness to work early morning hours, as work hours begins at 5:15 AM.
    Requires a licensed nurse (RN or LVN) registered in the state of Texas and graduated from an accredited school of nursing
    At least one year experience as a RN/LVN
    Experience in the field of addictions is preferred but not necessary.
    A positive attitude and passion for those in recovery from addiction.
    Willingness to work as part of a team.
    No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program.
    Must have a valid driver's license.
