Responsibilities
  • Fit, fabricate, join, and inspect welded assemblies
  • Meet the requirements of the welding department

  • Identify faults in equipment and report to supervisors

    A 70 year old company specializes in the Fabrication \& Manufacturing of FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEMS for Aerospace, Power Generation, Nuclear and Processing Industries requires an experienced TIG (GTAW) WELDER, for a Permanent Long Term opportunity in MISSISSUAGA, ONTARIO. This company is experiencing a prolonged growth spurt and is needing to add professional minded people to our experienced and dedicated team.
    The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Must have welding experience with Aluminum \& Stainless Steel.
    Weld Tickets that are especially important:
    Β· AWSD17 \& others
    Β· ASME Weld Approvals
    Β· TSSA
    Β· CWB
    Β· Any Bombardier, Siemens, GE, Boeing, Honeywell approvals are valued.
    Please provide list of approvals held currently and historically.

    Job Summary:
    The Welder fits, fabricates, joins and inspects welded assemblies.
    Job Definition Statement/Outcomes:
    Ø Meeting the requirements of the welding department and actively participating in achieving the company Goals \& Objectives.
    Ø Obtain the welding tickets required for various PQRs and WPS.
    Ø Adhering to and improving the Welding Department performance and productivity, while safely operating the welding equipment, tooling, supplies, fixtures and other machinery.
    Ø Preparing, cleaning and setting up components and assemblies and their corresponding tools and fixtures;
    Ø Identifying any fault in operating equipment or any material or equipment, then reporting to supervisors; Observing, recording and identifying any issue that is undermining the ability to achieve the targets, goals and objectives.
    Ø Able to work with the Tool Room and Machining\\Fixturing Team to develop specialized tooling and jigs to complete welding projects.
    Ø Be able to understand Welding data cards, travelers, written processes and procedures and work instructions generated for the weld department.
    Ø Developing personal welding techniques and understanding of welding process \& procedures.
    Ø Complete, Inspect and Certify first off Assemblies and Components.
    Ø Ensure that handling practices are followed to minimize any damage to parts.
    Ø Able to use measuring and inspection equipment and understand the criteria set out on the drawings.
    Ø Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
