About us:
Essex \& Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a charity. The free life\-saving service is provided 24/7 by helicopters and by rapid response vehicles.
Each critical care team consists of a pilot and co\-pilot, a pre\-hospital care doctor and a critical care paramedic.
They can be rushed to the scene with life\-saving support equipment to deliver advanced clinical care, usually only available in the hospital emergency department.
Once stabilised, the patient will be conveyed to the most appropriate hospital by air or land.
Without access to National Lottery funding and with only limited support from Government, we rely upon the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex and Hertfordshire to remain operational and keep saving livesβ¦we canβt fly without you!
Job purpose:
You will select items from our donations which will raise the maximum income through our online platforms with a view to ensuring positive feedback and a profitable presence for the charity through digital sales.
Summary of duties and responsibilities:
Achieve sales targets
Work with the team to maintain systems for the storage, listing and dispatch of items to maximise their profitability and ensure safe delivery
Manage the customer feedback with the aim of 100% positive
Understand how the e\-commerce department contributes to the charityβs vision
Respond to and deal with customer communication
Liaise with other departments to increase awareness of the charityβs retail business
Maximise sales opportunities of all items through high standard photography and product knowledge
Ensure Gift Aid details are securely processed from our donors
Other appropriate duties or projects to support the work of the charity
Person Specification
Essential:
An excellent knowledge of online selling platforms
Knowledge of online selling trends
Highly organised and efficient in managing workload
The ability to build strong and long\-lasting relationships
Desirable:
Previous experience of charity online retailing
Previous experience in a similar role
An understanding of valuing a diverse range of items

Salary: Β£24,219 per annum
