Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
• Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections and fixtures
• Cut openings in walls and floors for pipes
• Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes
• Select the type and size of pipes
• Assemble and install valves and fittings
• Join pipe sections and secure them in position
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• Install sinks, tubs, and toilets
• Install underground storm, sanitary and water piping systems
• Prepare cost estimates
• Follow company policies and procedures including Health and Safety program
• Complete Field Level Hazard Assessments
• Report unsafe work practices to Supervisor
• Mentor and train apprentices
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Journeymen Certificate/Interprovincial Red Seal
• Must have Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
