- The Product Manager is the champion and primary point of contact for all assigned products, with responsibility for product direction, functionality, competitiveness, and quality. Major task areas include: market analysis; development of objectives and strategies for products or services; and making decisions on functionality, price, promotion, channels, and customer service. The Product Manager constantly collects and synthesizes information, forecasts trends in competition and market conditions, and adapts product strategies and tactical decisions to market changes. The Product Manager coordinates the activities of all departments related to the success of assigned products. The Product Manager is the βnon\-technical expertβ for the assigned product lines.

Key Activities/Responsibilities:
Manage complete product life cycle from initial development through obsolescence
Establish product line positioning and pricing.
Define and support all aspects of promotion for assigned products.
Primary point of contact for all assigned products
Report regularly on the status of all activities.
Prepare business plans (AFEs) for new product development activities.
Control gross profits of product line by monitoring cost of goods sold, labor, materials, equipment, and allocations, and coordinate projects established to adjust unsatisfactory variables.
Manage all product List Prices, MAP prices, and promotional prices.
Job Requirements:
\-year degree in marketing, business or engineering. MBA is preferred
Minimum years experience in marketing or sales of technical products (preferably vehicle related).
Skills Needed for Success:
Experience with electrical, electronic, or mechanical products is helpful.
Good organizational and project management skills.
Capable of managing multiple projects in a cross\-functional team environment. Ability to integrate and lead support for technical product development.
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills essential.
Strong computer skills, including MS Office
Database management and spreadsheet development are required.
