Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures
  • Locate and mark positions for pipes and fixtures
  • Cut openings in walls and floors
  • Join pipes using couplings and other methods
  • Test pipes for leaks
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes
  • Instruct apprentices
Requirements
  • Completion of Plumbers Red Seal Certificate
  • A minimum of four years of experience on plumbing is required
  • Heavy lifting may be required up to 50 LBS (23kg)

    \-Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems

  • • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering,
    • \-Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
    \-Salary is based on experience
