Responsibilities
  • Assess students via a variety of evaluation tools
  • Lead professional development for Project Lead The Way
  • Manage department budget
  • Prepare all purchase orders for PLTW textbooks and supplies
  • Set an agenda and conduct all monthly department meetings
  • Work to unify PLTW program throughout the building and corporation
  • All other duties assigned by principal
Requirements
  • Valid Secondary Indiana Teaching License (5-12)
  • Certification in Project Lead The Way (or willingness to obtain training/certification)
  • Knowledge of computer design systems, technology, and math
  • Knowledge of the adolescent learner
  • Demonstrates sincere desire to assist students
  • Ability to work with a wide-range of student academic levels
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff
  • Ability to use diagnostic testing in order to evaluate student academic levels
  • Must be proficient in oral and written communications
  • Willingness to accept extracurricular positions
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
