Responsibilities

• prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
• assist clients with estate planning, wills, trusts, and estate law matters
• provide guidance on mergers & acquisitions, asset management, and investment strategies
• perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation
• maintain accurate records using accounting software such as quickbooks, sage, or xero
• stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance

Requirements

• bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• proven experience in tax accounting or public accounting roles
• strong knowledge of gaap principles and regulatory reporting requirements
• proficiency in accounting software (e.g., quickbooks, sage, xero)
• excellent analytical skills
• strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
• experience in non-profit accounting or corporate accounting is a plus
• ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
